Scientific Calculator for Advanced Maths
This online scientific calculator evaluates arithmetic and advanced mathematical expressions in your browser. Use it for trigonometry, logarithms, powers, roots, factorials, constants, and grouped calculations. It returns a result, but it does not show a step-by-step derivation.

Functions Supported by the Calculator
- Basic operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, parentheses, sign change, and remainder.
- Trigonometry: sine, cosine, tangent, secant, cosecant, cotangent, inverse functions, and hyperbolic functions.
- Powers and roots: squares, cubes, powers, square roots, cube roots, custom roots, reciprocal, and factorial.
- Logs and constants: common logarithm, natural logarithm, exponential functions, π, and e.
- Other tools: absolute value, floor, ceiling, random values, and degree/DMS conversion controls.
DEG, RAD, and GRAD Modes
The angle indicator starts at DEG. Select it to cycle through degrees, radians, and grads before using a trigonometric button. For example, sin(30) in DEG mode is approximately 0.5, while sin(30) in RAD mode treats 30 as radians and produces a different result.
Worked Example
To evaluate (4 + 6) x (8 – 2) / 3, enter the expression with parentheses and select equals. The calculator applies the grouped operations and returns 20.
Precision and Limitations
Results evaluated with the equals button are rounded to as many as six decimal places when they are not whole numbers. Some direct scientific-function buttons may display additional floating-point digits, so treat the final digits as an approximation. Check the selected angle mode before trigonometry, and verify important academic, engineering, or financial work independently.
The tool evaluates numeric expressions; it does not solve symbolic equations, prove identities, attach units automatically, or provide calculation steps.

Is this better than a physical scientific calculator?
It depends, but for quick access, no batteries, and real-time results, online calculators like CalcMaster are super convenient.
Yes, the online scientific calculator is mobile-friendly and works smoothly on all devices.
Absolutely! It’s perfect for students in high school, college, or anyone preparing for exams like JEE, SAT, or GRE.
Yes, most online scientific calculators, including CalcMaster, are completely free to use without any signup.
Click the Trigonometry dropdown to access sin, cos, tan, and other trigonometric functions. Use the 2nd button to access inverse functions like sin⁻¹, cos⁻¹, etc.
log(x) calculates the logarithm base 10, while ln(x) calculates the natural logarithm (base e ≈ 2.718). Use log for common logarithms and ln for natural logarithms.
